This website is operated by Rhys Aeron Williams, a sole trader trading as The Number Plate Specialists (“we”, “us” and “our”).

These terms apply when you order goods from this website. Please read them before ordering. Nothing in these terms limits the rights that consumers have under applicable law.

We sell road-legal number plates and show plates. Product descriptions identify the intended use of each item. Show plates are for display, exhibition or off-road use only and must not be fitted to or used on a vehicle on a public road.

On-screen previews help you configure an order but are not exact colour or scale proofs. Minor differences can arise because of screen settings, materials and manufacturing tolerances.

You are responsible for checking the registration, plate type, size, quantity, character style, spacing and other selected options before payment. We manufacture personalised goods using the information you submit.

Road-legal orders are subject to identity and registration-entitlement checks required by law. An upload is a preliminary step and does not by itself complete or guarantee approval of those checks.

We may require original documents or further information before approving an order for manufacture. We will not manufacture a road-legal plate unless the required checks have been completed. If the checks cannot be completed, we may cancel and refund the affected order.

Prices are shown in pounds sterling. Delivery charges are displayed before payment. We use Stripe to process online payments and do not receive or store your full payment-card details.

Payment authorisation does not oblige us to accept an order. A contract is formed when we confirm acceptance of the order. If we cannot accept an order, we will notify you and arrange any applicable refund.

Contact us immediately if you need to change an order. We will help where reasonably possible, but changes or cancellation may not be possible after personalised production has begun.

Our normal aim is to produce and dispatch an approved order within 1–3 working days. This is an estimate, not a guaranteed deadline. Road-legal checks, unusual specifications, stock availability and events outside our reasonable control may extend the timeframe.

Delivery is available to addresses in the United Kingdom. Collection is available by prior arrangement. You must provide a complete and accurate delivery address and contact us promptly about any delivery problem.

Number plates made to a registration or other specification you provide are personalised goods. The usual change-of-mind cancellation right for distance purchases does not generally apply to goods made to a consumer’s specification or clearly personalised.

This does not affect your rights if goods are faulty, damaged, not as described or otherwise do not conform to the contract.

Please contact us as soon as possible with your order reference, details of the problem and photographs where appropriate. We will provide the remedy required by law, which may include repair, replacement, a price reduction or refund depending on the circumstances. Do not return anything until we provide return instructions.

We are responsible for loss or damage that is a foreseeable result of our breach of these terms or failure to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for loss that was not foreseeable or for business losses suffered by a consumer.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.

We handle personal information as described in our Privacy Policy. This includes information supplied for orders, delivery, contact and legally required road-legal plate checks.

These terms are governed by Scots law. If you are a consumer, you may bring proceedings in the courts of the part of the United Kingdom where you live, and you retain any mandatory protections provided by the law of that place.
